TEHRAN, Feb. 22, 2006 (AMP) — Southeast Asia 2007 (Qualifiers) : Iran defeated Taiwan by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Iranians top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Iran will meet third-placed Syria on August 16, while Taiwan will face Syria.
