SUWON, Sep. 6, 2006 (AMP) — Southeast Asia 2007 (Qualifiers) : South Korea defeated Taiwan by a big score of 8-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Koreans top of Group B with 10 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their next game, South Korea will meet third-placed Syria on October 11, while Taiwan will face Iran.
