TAIPEI, Oct. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Southeast Asia 2007 (Qualifiers) : Iran defeated Taiwan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Iranians top of Group B with 11 points. Taiwan is bottom with no points. In their last game, Iran will meet second-placed South Korea on November 15, while Taiwan will face Syria.
