SINGAPORE, Feb. 22, 2006 (AMP) — Southeast Asia 2007 (Qualifiers) : Singapore defeated Iraq by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup on Wednesday night.

The result put the Singaporeans top of Group E with 3 points. In their next game, Singapore will meet third-placed Palestine on March 1, while Iraq will face China.
