MELBOURNE, Jan. 22, 2015 (AMP) — Australia 2015 : South Korea reached the semifinals of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup courtesy of a 2-0 extra time victory over Uzbekistan (following a 0-0 draw in regulation) on Thursday night at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
Son Heung-min scored dual goals
The score was still nil-all after the 90 minutes of regulation time and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The Koreans finally broke through with goals from Heung-min ('104, '120).
