MUSCAT, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Emirates 2019 (Qualifiers) : Oman defeated the Maldives by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup on Tuesday night at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat.
The result put the Omani second in Group D with 6 points. The Maldives is third with 3 points. In their next game, Oman will meet third-placed the Maldives at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on October 10, while the Maldives will face Oman.
