CAIRO, May. 29, 1959 (AMP) — United Arab Republic 1959 : Egypt defeated Sudan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a AFCON final round game (Final Tournament) on Friday. Egypt won the 2nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, their second title in history, Sudan finished second.
