HARARE, Feb. 23, 1997 (AMP) — Burkina Faso 1998 (Qualifiers) : Zimbabwe defeated Angola by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The result put the Zimbabweans second in Group 1 with 4 points. Angola is bottom with no points. In their next game, Zimbabwe will meet group leaders Ghana on July 13, while Angola will face Ghana.
