ACCRA, Jan. 28, 2000 (AMP) — Ghana Nigeria 2000 : Cameroon defeated Ivory Coast by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Friday night.

The result put the Cameroonians top of Group A with 4 points. Ivory Coast is bottom with one point. In their last game, Cameroon will meet third-placed Togo on January 31, while Ivory Coast will face Ghana.
