BAMAKO, Jan. 26, 2002 (AMP) — Mali 2002 : Senegal defeated Zambia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Saturday night.

The result put the Senegalese top of Group D with 6 points. Zambia is bottom with one point. In their last game, Senegal will meet third-placed Tunisia on January 31, while Zambia will face Egypt.
