Jamaica beats French Guiana in shoot out to reach Caribbean Cup final
FORT-DE-FRANCE, Jun. 22, 2017 (AMP) — USA 2017 : Jamaica reached the Caribbean Cup final for the eighth time in their history after defeating French Guiana 4-2 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) on Thursday night at the Stade Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from L. Baal ('21) for French Guiana and Johnson ('70) for Jamaica. The Jamaicans finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-2.
