Champions League 2016-17 : Valletta loses to B36 2-1 but qualifies for next round
TóRSHAVN, Jul. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : B36 Tórshavn defeated Valletta by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the second leg of a group stage game on Tuesday night at the Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn.
Thorleifsson opened the score in the 11th minute, before seeing Valletta catch up in the 24th minute thanks to Falcone. 1-1 at half time. The White Tigers eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Agnarsson in the 66th minute.
Valletta, who won the first leg (1-0), advance to the second round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. B36 is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : First Round
