Champions League 2016-17 : TNS beats Tre Penne 3-0 to qualify for next round
SERRAVALLE, Jul. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : The New Saints defeated Tre Penne by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a group stage game on Tuesday night at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.
The New Saints dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Quigley in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Saints further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Edwards '47 and Draper '90).
TNS, who won the first leg (2-1), advance to the second round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. Tre Penne is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : First Round
