BUCHAREST, Aug. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Manchester City defeated Steaua Bucuresti by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Tuesday night at the National Arena in Bucharest.

Sergio Agüero scored tripple goals

Manchester City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Silva ('13) and Agüero ('41). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Citizens further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Nolito '49 and Agüero '78, '89).

The second leg between Steaua Bucuresti and Manchester City will be played on Wednesday August 24, 2016 (kick-off: 20:45) in Manchester.
