MONACO, Aug. 23, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Monaco defeated Villarreal by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.
Villarreal made the Monacos doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Brazilian defender Fabinho on penalty seconds before the end of regulation.
