Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Celtic loses to Hapoel 2-0 but qualifies for Champions League

BEERSHEBA, Aug. 23, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Hapoel Be'er Sheva defeated Celtic by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Turner Stadium in Beersheba.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Sahar Ben in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Camels further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hoban Ovidiu in the 48th minute.

Celtic, who won the first leg (5-2), secured their ticket to the Champions League finals. Hapoel is eliminated.
