Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Dinamo Zagreb beats Red Bull Salzburg 2-1 in extra time to qualify for Champions League

LEIPZIG, Aug. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Dinamo Zagreb defeated Red Bull Salzburg 2-1 after extra time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Wednesday night at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.

The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Lazaro Valentino ('22) for Red Bull Salzburg and Fernandes Junior ('87) for Dinamo Zagreb, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 95th minute, it was ultimately Soudani El Arabi who brought the “Modri” to victory by scoring the winning goal.

Dinamo Zagreb, who tied 1-1 in the first leg, secured their ticket to the Champions League finals. Red Bull Salzburg is eliminated.
