Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Dinamo Tbilisi held to a 1-1 draw by Alashkert but qualifies for next round
YEREVAN, Jul. 19, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Alashkert tied 1-1 with Dinamo Tbilisi (halftime: 0-1), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday afternoon at the Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
Dinamo Tbilisi players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Jigauri in the 21st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Alashkert with a saving goal from Gyozalyan in the 51st minute.
Dinamo Tbilisi, who won the first leg (2-0), advance to the third round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. Alashkert is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
