Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Red Star beats Valletta 2-1 to qualify for next round
BELGRADE, Jul. 19, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Red Star Belgrade defeated Valletta by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night.
Caruana opened the score in the 11th minute, before seeing Red Star Belgrade catch up in the 30th minute thanks to Donald. 1-1 at half time. Zvezda eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Katai in the 76th minute.
Red Star, who won the first leg (2-1), advance to the third round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. Valletta is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
