Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Partizani Tirana beats Ferencváros in shoot out to qualify for next round

BUDAPEST, Jul. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Partizani Tirana defeated Ferencváros on penalties 3-1, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Wednesday night at the Groupama Arena in Budapest.

The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Gera ('14 on penalty) for Ferencváros and Oliver Hüsing ('40 own goal) for Partizani Tirana. The Red Bulls finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 3-1.

Partizani Tirana, who tied 1-1 in the first leg, advance to the third round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. Ferencváros is eliminated.
