Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Dundalk held to a 2-2 draw by FH but qualifies for next round
HAFNARFJöRDUR, Jul. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : FH Hafnarfjordur tied 2-2 with Dundalk (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Wednesday night.
FH Hafnarfjordur players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Hewson in the 19th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite K. F. Finnbogason goal ('78) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Dundalk with dual goals from McMillan ('52 and '62.
Dundalk, who tied 1-1 in the first leg, advance to the third round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. FH is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Second Round
