ELBASAN, Jul. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Red Bull Salzburg defeated Partizani Tirana by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Tuesday night at the Elbasan Arena.

45 minutes of play and neither Red Bull Salzburg nor Partizani Tirana have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Soriano on penalty in the 70th minute.

The second leg between Partizani Tirana and Red Bull Salzburg will be played on Wednesday August 3, 2016 (kick-off: 20:30) in Leipzig.
