Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Shakhtar defeats Young Boys 2-0

LVIV, Jul. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Young Boys by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Tuesday night at the Arena Lviv.

Shakhtar Donetsk dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bernard Duarte in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Hirnyky” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Seleznyov Yevhen in the 75th minute.

The second leg between Shakhtar Donetsk and Young Boys will be played on Wednesday August 3, 2016 (kick-off: 20:15) in Bern.
