Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Sparta and Steaua Bucuresti play out 1-1 draw

PRAGUE, Jul. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Sparta Prague tied 1-1 with Steaua Bucuresti (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Tuesday night at the Generali Arena in Prague.

Sparta Prague players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Sural Josef in the 35th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Steaua Bucuresti with a saving goal from Stanciu Nicolae in the 75th minute.

The second leg between Sparta Prague and Steaua Bucuresti will be played on Wednesday August 3, 2016 (kick-off: 19:45) in Bucharest.
