Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Astana and Celtic play out 1-1 draw

ASTANA, Jul. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : FC Astana tied 1-1 with Celtic (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Wednesday afternoon at the Astana Arena.

FC Astana players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Logvinenko Yuriy in the 19th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Celtic with a saving goal from Griffiths Leigh in the 78th minute.

The second leg between FC Astana and Celtic will be played on Wednesday August 3, 2016 (kick-off: 20:45) in Glasgow.
