Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Giurgiu and FCK play to a 1-1 draw

GIURGIU, Jul. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Astra Giurgiu tied 1-1 with Copenhagen (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Wednesday night.

Astra Giurgiu players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Teixeira Filipe in the 7th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Copenhagen with a saving goal from Delaney Thomas in the 64th minute.

The second leg between Astra Giurgiu and Copenhagen will be played on Wednesday August 3, 2016 (kick-off: 19:45) in Copenhagen.
