Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : RBK defeats APOEL 2-1

TRONDHEIM, Jul. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Rosenborg defeated APOEL Nicosia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in the first leg of a Champions League qualifier tie on Wednesday night at the Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim.

Rosenborg dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gytkjaer Christian ('23) and Skjelvik Jorgen ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Troillongan further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.

The second leg between Rosenborg and APOEL Nicosia will be played on Tuesday August 2, 2016 (kick-off: 19:00) in Nicosia.
