Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Dundalk beats BATE 3-0 to qualify for next round

DUBLIN, Aug. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Dundalk defeated BATE Borisov by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

McMillan scored dual goals

Dundalk dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by McMillan in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Lilywhites further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (McMillan '59 and Benson '90).

Dundalk, who lost the first leg (0-1), advance to the fourth round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. BATE is eliminated.
