Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Rostov beats Anderlecht 2-0 to qualify for next round
ANDERLECHT, Aug. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Rostov defeated Anderlecht by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Wednesday night at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Anderlecht.
Rostov dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ecuadorian midfielder Christian Noboa in the 28th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Rostov players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Azmoun in the 47th minute.
Rostov, who tied 2-2 in the first leg, advance to the fourth round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. Anderlecht is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Third Round
