Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Ajax beats PAOK 2-1 to qualify for next round
THESSALONIKI, Aug. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Ajax defeated PAOK by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Wednesday night at the Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki.
Klaassen Davy scored dual goals
Athanasiadis Stefanos opened the score in the 4th minute, before seeing Ajax catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Klaassen Davy penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The “Godenzonen” eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Klaassen Davy with just 3 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Ajax, who tied 1-1 in the first leg, advance to the fourth round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. PAOK is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Third Round
