Champions League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Young Boys beats Shakhtar in shoot out to qualify for next round

BERN, Aug. 3, 2016 (AMP) — Champions League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Young Boys defeated Shakhtar Donetsk on penalties 4-2, after the match ended 2-0 in regulation time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Wednesday night at the Stade de Suisse in Bern.

Kubo Yuya scored dual goals

The score was still 2-0 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Kubo Yuya ('54, '60) for Young Boys. YB finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-2.

Young Boys, who lost the first leg (0-2), advance to the fourth round of the ongoing Champions League qualifying campaign. Shakhtar is eliminated.
