ABIDJAN, Feb. 22, 2009 (AMP) — Ivory Coast 2009 : Senegal defeated Tanzania by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Sunday night at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
The result put the Senegalese second in Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Senegal will meet group leaders Zambia at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium on February 25, while Tanzania will face Ivory Coast.
