CAPE TOWN, Jan. 12, 2014 (AMP) — South Africa 2014 : Uganda defeated Burkina Faso by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Sunday night at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
The result put the Ugandans top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Uganda will meet second-placed Zimbabwe at the Athlone Stadium on January 16, while Burkina Faso will face Morocco.
