RIYADH, Dec. 17, 1997 (AMP) — Saudi Arabia 97 : Uruguay defeated South Africa by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-2), in a Confederations Cup group stage game on Wednesday night. Uruguay advance to the Semifinals. South Africa is eliminated.
