Germany beats Mexico to reach Confederations Cup final
SOCHI, Jun. 29, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2017 : Germany reached the FIFA Confederations Cup final for the very first time in their history with a 4-1 win against Mexico (halftime: 2-0) on Thursday night at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi.
Leon Goretzka scored dual goals
Germany dominated the first half thanks to goals from Goretzka ('6, '8). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Werner '59 and Younes '90).
