MONTEVIDEO, Feb. 15, 1956 (AMP) — Uruguay 1956 : Uruguay defeated Argentina by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Copa América final round game (Final tournament) on Wednesday. Uruguay won the 24th edition of the Copa América, their ninth title in history, Argentina finished third.
