BUENOS AIRES, Mar. 14, 1959 (AMP) — Argentina 1959 : Peru defeated Uruguay by a score of 5-3 (halftime: 4-2), in a Copa América final round game (Final tournament) on Saturday.

The result put the Peruvians second in the group with 4 points. Uruguay is third with 3 points. In their next game, Peru will meet group leaders Argentina on March 18, while Uruguay will face Paraguay.
