SALVADOR, Nov. 4, 1983 (AMP) — América 1983 : Brazil tied 1-1 with Uruguay (halftime: 1-1), in a final round game on Friday. Uruguay won the 32nd edition of the Copa América, their 12th title in history, Brazil finished second.
