Paraguay beats Brazil in shoot out to advance to Copa América semifinals
LA PLATA, Jul. 17, 2011 (AMP) — Argentina 2011 : Paraguay reached the semifinals of the 2011 Copa América after defeating Brazil 2-0 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) on Sunday afternoon at the Estadio Ciudad de La Plata.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The Paraguayans finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 2-0.
