Paraguay beats Venezuela in shoot out to reach Copa América final
MENDOZA, Jul. 20, 2011 (AMP) — Argentina 2011 : Paraguay reached the Copa América final for the very first time in their history after defeating Venezuela 5-3 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) on Wednesday night at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The Paraguayans finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-3.
