LA PLATA, Jul. 23, 2011 (AMP) — Argentina 2011 : Peru secured the consolation of third place at the 2011 Copa América with a 4-1 win against Venezuela (halftime: 1-0) on Saturday afternoon at the Estadio Ciudad de La Plata.
Guerrero scored tripple goals
Peru dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Chiroque in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Peruvians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Guerrero '63, '89, '90).
