DONETSK, Jun. 15, 2012 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 : France defeated Ukraine by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Friday night at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk.
45 minutes of play and neither the Frenchs nor the Ukrainians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Ménez ('53) and Cabaye ('56).
The result put the French top of Group D with 4 points. Ukraine is second with 3 points. In their last game, France will meet Sweden at the Donbass Arena on June 19, while Ukraine will face England.
