MUSCAT, Oct. 21, 1996 (AMP) — Oman 1996 : Saudi Arabia defeated Bahrain by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a Gulf Cup final round game (Tournament) on Monday at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat.

The result put the Saudi second in the group with 7 points. Bahrain is 5th with one point. In their next game, Saudi Arabia will meet third-placed Kuwait at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on October 24, while Bahrain will face Qatar.
