MUSCAT, Oct. 28, 1996 (AMP) — Oman 1996 : Kuwait defeated Qatar by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Gulf Cup final round game (Tournament) on Monday at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat. Kuwait won the 13rd edition of the Gulf Cup, their eight title in history, Qatar finished second.
