League Cup 2014-15 : West Brom beats Oxford in shoot out to qualify for next round
WEST BROMWICH, Aug. 26, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : West Brom defeated Oxford United on penalties 7-6, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time, in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night at The Hawthorns in West Bromwich.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Mullins ('29 own goal) for West Brom and Hylton ('86) for Oxford United. The Throstles finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 7-6.
