League Cup 2014-15 : Sheffield United beats West Ham in shoot out to qualify for next round

LONDON, Aug. 26, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Sheffield United defeated West Ham on penalties 5-4, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time, in the League Cup second round on Tuesday night at the Boleyn Ground in London.

The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Diafra Sakho ('40) for West Ham and Winston Reid ('57) for Sheffield United. The Blades finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 5-4.
