STOKE, Aug. 27, 2014 (AMP) — League Cup 2014-15 : Stoke City defeated Portsmouth by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the League Cup second round on Wednesday night at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke.

Walters scored dual goals

Stoke City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Walters in the 16th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Stoke City players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Walters '47 and Crouch '90).
