League One (Week 19) : Southend defeats Oldham 5-2
ENGLAND, Nov. 24, 2015 (AMP) — League One / Match day 19: Two wins in a row for Southend United. After their 1-0 win against Blackpool on November 21, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League One with a 5-2 victory over Oldham Athletic this Tuesday.
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Payne Jack ('5) and Mooney David ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Worrall David '48, Atkinson Will '78 and Prosser Luke '82).
Southend United FC climbed to 8th place with 30 points from 19 games, tie on points with Peterborough United FC.
