League One (Week 42) : Sheffield United defeats Northampton 2-1
ENGLAND, Apr. 8, 2017 (AMP) — League One / Match day 42: Three wins in a row for Sheffield United. After their success against Millwall and Coventry City, the Blades continued their sensational form in the League One with a 2-1 victory over Northampton Town this Saturday.
Northampton Town had started off well by taking the lead in the 45th minute with a goal by Richards Marc. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Blades nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Clarke Leon '61 and Fleck John '88).
Sheffield United FC remains in first place with 88 points from 42 games, a 9-point lead over runner-up Bolton Wanderers FC.
