League Two (Week 5) : Morecambe beats Accrington 3-2
ENGLAND, Aug. 27, 2016 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 5: Four wins in a row for Morecambe. After their success against Blackpool, Portsmouth and Yeovil Town, the Shrimps continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 3-2 victory over Accrington Stanley this Saturday.
Stockton Cole scored dual goals
Accrington Stanley had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Kee Billy ('27, '34), while Morecambe only scored once Stockton Cole ('45). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Shrimps nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ellison Kevin '46 and Stockton Cole '57).
Morecambe FC remains in first place with 12 points from 5 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Luton Town FC.
